While most poker movies have focused on male grinders, underground games, and Rounders-type figures, a new production will seek to change the angle with a story starring women. It is Quads & The Kicker, a thriller inspired by the play Never the Same Rhyme Twice.
The film, according to Cardplayer, will feature well-known actresses such as Kelly Marie Tran



The story revolves around a group of female con artists linked to poker, where betrayals, broken alliances, and revenge mix with weapons, intense dialogues, and tension-filled games. According to its creators, the film will combine elements of dark humor and crime drama, something that immediately reminded many poker fans of classics like Rounders, but from a much more modern and darker perspective.
