One of the most curious aspects of the project will be the reuse of two enormous concrete columns that have been abandoned on the site for more than a decade. They originally belonged to the failed SkyVue project, a giant observation wheel that aimed to compete with the High Roller but never progressed beyond its initial structures.
Far from demolishing them, the developers plan to reinforce them and add a third column to support an elevated restaurant that will offer panoramic views of the Strip, turning a symbol of real estate failure into one of the main attractions of the new complex.

Additionally, the design includes a covered pedestrian plaza inspired by the famous Fremont Street Experience, aiming to attract visitors beyond the casino and create an entertainment space throughout the year.
Another place to tour
From a Latin American perspective, the news does not go unnoticed. Every season thousands of players from Latin America and other countries travel to Las Vegas to compete in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) or the numerous festivals held in the city. More hotel and entertainment options also mean more choices for those who turn poker into the perfect excuse to visit the world capital of gaming.
The timing of the announcement also seems no coincidence. Very close to the future casino, the new stadium for the Oakland Athletics is being built, a Major League Baseball franchise that will move its home games to Las Vegas. With 81 regular season games per year, the venue will attract hundreds of thousands of visitors and further boost the development of the southern Strip sector.
Everything indicates that Las Vegas continues to bet big. And, as so often in its history, a site that for years was synonymous with failed projects could become the next meeting point for tourists, gamblers, and poker players from around the world.
