A cement truck caused chaos in a $1M tournament at Thunder Valley – CodigoPoker

A rather unusual problem occurred at the Thunder Valley Casino over the weekend, just before the start of the Main Event of the RunGood Season Finale, which is taking place in the city of California

The incident rendered the casino completely unusable. Not only were the lights out, but even the restrooms stopped working, so the organizers had to make a tough decision and the casino remained closed for approximately seven and a half hours.

It seemed that the schedule could not be rescheduled, so the event, which has a $1M guarantee, was going to lose 25% of its initial flights. The news was a cold shower for an organization that had an overlay the last time it offered a similar guarantee.

Finally, the suspended initial flight ended up being transformed into two turbo flights to be played the next day. This way, players would not crowd into the second initial flight and the organization could keep at least part of the entries that otherwise would have been lost.

Meanwhile, the tournament ended up exceeding its guaranteed prize pool and reaching $1,100,000 in prizes. Also, no one was injured and everything returned to normal the next day. A misfortune with luck that ended in a new success in attendance for one of the most acclaimed series in the United States.
