Solvers with steroids: TrenirusGTO sparks controversy for its real-time assistance

The Freak Friday has arrived and this time we don’t need robots dealing cards nor an artificial intelligence capable of reading tells. The protagonist is TrenirusGTO, a software that raised alarms in the community by openly promoting its use while playing online poker.

It all started when the official TrenirusGTO account posted several videos on X showing the tool in action. The promotional message didn’t help calm things down either: “This is what playing with Trenirus looks like. You can try it yourself now! Play like a PRO”.

The problem? According to users who analyzed the footage, the program wouldn’t just study hands after a session ends, but would provide strategic information while the action is still happening.

One of the first to raise the red flag was poker content creator Firenkes, who directly labeled the program as RTA (Real-Time Assistance). His argument points out that TrenirusGTO would show frequencies and GTO-based solutions during the same street and before the player makes a decision.

In other words: something dangerously similar to having a small solver sitting next to you telling you which button to press.

The discussion escalated when none other than Chris Moneymaker

United States
appeared. The 2003 WSOP Main Event champion was categorical and stated that using this type of tool during a game constitutes outright cheating, adding that those caught should lose the funds in their accounts.

From TrenirusGTO, on the other hand, they defend the educational potential of the program. The account argued that practicing thousands of situations would allow learning much faster than studying charts and theory, eventually no longer needing the tool.

There lies precisely the big digital elephant on the table: one thing is to train and another to receive help while you are playing.

The controversy now also affects ACR Poker, since the software is running on one of their tables and the company responded with a lengthy statement on their X account where they declared that “every decision at an ACR Poker table must be made by the player”. The room was particularly clear on one point: it is not investigating whether this type of use is allowed, because it has already determined that it is not. So they took immediate action regarding this.

And TrenirusGTO? Far from staying silent, they responded with heavy ammunition.

From their account, they accused ACR of treating their responsible parties “like criminals”, questioned the blocking and confiscation of funds from a player related to them, and assured that this player had won the money without receiving advice from the software.

But there was more. TrenirusGTO directly targeted GTO Wizard, alleging that some of its users do “much worse” things, before concluding, with irony, that their own program is “much better and more powerful”.

Because in 2026 the old advice of “study more poker” seems to need a little update: study all you want… but maybe it’s better to close the solver before sitting down to play.
