WSOP Circuit Changes And Bets Big On July In Las Vegas
El WSOP Circuit cambia las reglas y apuesta fuerte por julio en Las Vegas

World poker shakes up its schedule once again and does so from the heart of the game. The World Series of Poker announced a new stop for the WSOP Circuit in Las Vegas from July 14 to 25, right after the traditional world series. The move not only extends the action in the poker capital but also marks a direct transition toward the second half of the Circuit season.

For years, the close of the WSOP meant a break in Las Vegas. Now, that break disappears and will be replaced by a festival with 18 rings at stake and a US$1.700 Main Event, which promises to attract both local grinders and international players. The new stop could even serve as a bridge toward a possible historic move: a live Main Event final table in early August, something that is already generating rumors in the environment.

This adjustment is part of a larger strategy for the Circuit in 2026. The calendar leaves behind the previous model —which began after the summer— and adopts an annual format from January to December. The goal is clear: to position WSOP Paradise as the grand season finale in December, with a US Circuit Championship that will bring together ring winners from throughout the year.

Additionally, the organization is betting big on promoting the use of the WSOP+ app and turning the Circuit into a true gateway to major global events.

In terms of sports, the advancement of the July calendar maintains the classic essence of the Circuit. There will be a US$400 Mini Main, multiple Omaha tournaments, ladies and seniors events, bounty tournaments, and several High Rollers that will raise the competitive temperature. The highlight will be the Main Event from July 21 to 25, which will attempt to surpass the 616 entries recorded in January, when Darren Rabinowitz

After years of searching for an ideal date in Las Vegas —with problems in the fall due to Formula 1 and Thanksgiving, and strong competition in the spring— the WSOP is now betting on the end of July. And everything indicates that the move could be a winning full house.
