Following the publication of the official 2026 World Series of Poker schedule, Daniel Negreanu

Of the 100 tournaments scheduled this year, Negreanu has selected 40 events, betting on an ambitious but strategic schedule. More than half of his entries correspond to high buy-in tournaments: he will play 16 events of US$10.000 and another 12 with costs between US$25.000 and US$250.000. The most expensive will be the US$250K Super High Roller, while the most accessible on his schedule will be the popular US$300 Gladiators of Poker.
Regarding formats, the Canadian’s plan shows balance and versatility. He will play 17 No-Limit Hold’em tournaments, the circuit’s main variant, but will also participate in 15 mixed events and 8 Pot-Limit Omaha events, confirming his intention to compete for the Player of the Year title, a goal that has historically influenced his tournament volume.

Among the highlights of his schedule are the US$50K Poker Players Championship, considered the most prestigious tournament in mixed formats; the US$10.000 Main Event, which will begin on July 3; and several high-profile events such as the US$100K NLH, the US$100K PLO and the US$25K HORSE.
Another striking aspect of his planning is the schedule. Negreanu prioritized tournaments that start at noon or later, so that more than 75% of his events start from 12. The decision points to a key factor in long series: rest. With long days, the Canadian seems determined to optimize his physical and mental performance.
In 2025, Negreanu closed the WSOP with earnings of US$181.097. The big question now is whether he can improve that figure in 2026. With a selective schedule, plenty of experience, and intact motivation, everything indicates that “Kid Poker” will once again be a protagonist in Las Vegas.
