If we had to analyze the history of poker in stages, almost no one would doubt that we are currently going through the solver stage. Twenty years ago, no one imagined that there would be software capable of precisely analyzing every decision in a poker hand. Solvers not only achieved this with No-Limit Hold’em many years ago, but GTO Wizard has just done it again, this time with Pot-Limit Omaha.
Until now, PLO study tools were quite limited, but with this new update from GTO Wizard, players will be able to study every detail of a hand, from the preflop phase to the river, with the ability to customize ranges, bet sizes, and all hand details, just like with NLH solvers.
But there is a big difference between studying Hold’em and studying Omaha. In Hold’em, a simple 13×13 table is enough to chart all possible hands. In Omaha, the possibilities extend much further, so the strategy is different and the interface needed to study the game is also different.
That is why GTO Wizard developed a new “Study Mode” specific for Omaha, which allows navigating through multiple options, comparing ranges, strategies, metrics, and applying adaptable filters to the needs of each player.
