Jesús Fonseca was crowned as the last champion of the Nuevo Vallarta Tour in its summer edition, after claiming the mask and trophy corresponding to the most demanding tournament on the schedule, the High Roller which had MXN$1,500,000 guaranteed and brought together many of the best players in the country to compete for a title and high recognition on the national stage.
The highest caliber tournament in this iconic Nayarit festival, which saw its second edition of the year, featured a demanding buy-in of MXN$25,000, offering one and a half million pesos in guarantee to gather a total of 61 entries and distribute its prize pool among the top 9 contenders for the mask and trophy at stake. The minimum cash was set at MXN$30,000.
Among the players who reached a place at the final table and therefore cashed, stood out Cosme Alonzo (9th – MXN$30,000), managing to add once again in this festival that saw him unstoppable (twice champion in the Mini Main Event and in the Second Chance), as well as José Antonio «Yanga» Rodríguez (6th – MXN$75,000) and the player from Guadalajara William Hernández (5th – MXN$105,000), who took the opportunity to attend this series.

In the early hours of this Tuesday, the last tournament of the series was decided, defining each and every one of the champions who earned their corresponding masks and trophies for their showcases. The highest stakes event closed the curtain on this occasion and some of the players who participated without securing a seat at the main table were Fernando Islas who was eliminated on the bubble of the money (10th), as well as internationally caliber players like Diego Ponce and Manuel Escalona .
After the first elimination of this electrifying final table, the presence of Luisa Morfín stood out, as the female representative in this tough competition, finishing 8th and reaching the payout for MXN$30,000. In 8th place was Osvaldo Mejía , coach at Ethos Poker and well known as «El Inge Os». One step from the podium was Carlos Landa , who has been a regular on the virtual felt, finishing 4th with a considerable payout of MXN$142,500.
