Day 1A of the Main Event at the Ovalle Series of Poker was completed at the Ovalle Casino & Resort, in the picturesque namesake city, which once again was the setting for an intense day of poker with great level and great protagonists.
With a buy-in of CL$700,000, the first day of the Main Event collected 29 entries and ended with 12 qualifiers led by Juan Parra , who closed as chipleader with a stack of 353,000 chips.
Throughout the day, the field was gradually whittled down hand by hand until the qualifiers were defined. Among the most notable eliminations was the current circuit ranking leader, Claudio Martínez , who did not manage to advance to Day 2.
Second in the count was Víctor Zúñiga with a stack of 255,000 chips, while the podium of the day was closed by Exequiel Fuentes with 287,500.
