The Onyx High Roller Series already has its main tournament underway. This Tuesday, the Main Event with a US$25,500 buy-in started at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa, in northern Cyprus, with a guarantee of US$5,000,000 and bringing together several regular names from the high roller circuit.
The first day had 113 entries and progressed until the players reached the bubble. Finally, 19 survivors managed to bag their chips for Day 2, while the tournament remains open with two initial flights still to be played.
Day 1A began this Tuesday at 1 PM Cyprus time, while Day 1B will be played on Wednesday the 12th at the same time. That same day, at 9 PM, Day 1C will be played, a turbo flight with 20-minute levels.
Players start with 200,000 chips. The first two flights use 40-minute levels, while the turbo reduces the duration to 20 minutes.
The particularity of the structure is that each flight continues until approximately 15% of the field remains, at which point the survivors secure their place in the money and bag their stacks for Day 2.
After the three flights, Day 2 will be played on Thursday, August 13, starting at 1 PM, with one-hour levels. The conclusion will be on Friday the 14th, also starting at 1 PM.

The Colombian opened to 80,000 from UTG and Mustafov responded with a raise to 240,000. Then, Pineda pushed his remaining 960,000 chips and received a quick call from Mustafov.
The Latino showed J J while Mustafov had A A.
The flop was 9 3 3 and did not change the situation. The A appeared on the turn to seal the hand and the K completed the board. Pineda thus ended as the last eliminated of the flight before the survivors bagged their chips.
The Main Event is the main attraction of an edition of the Onyx that began on August 7 and will run until the 16th. The schedule includes No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments, with buy-ins reaching up to US$50,500.
