Recently, Hellmuth had a talk with North American media, where he expressed an idea contrary to Shaun’s.
“I find it frustrating that Shaun Deeb says I won’t win more bracelets,” said Hellmuth. “I am convinced that I will win 24 bracelets. People forget how good I am at playing no-limit. I can win any no-limit tournament, with any structure, any day, anywhere,” he reaffirmed, convinced.
“Criticism only gives me more fuel to win. I really believe I will win 24 bracelets,” insisted the 17-time world champion.
When They Are Not Arguing On Social Media, Deeb And Hellmuth Have A Good Relationship
Anyway, Phil Hellmuth is aware that winning seven more bracelets will not be an easy task at all. For several years, Phil has been more focused on his business trips and family life than on poker. But it seems that is about to change.
“I have worked hard to get to this position. So now I am going to commit to poker for the next four or five years, more than to my business trips. My number one priority is poker again. It’s time to commit to playing more events. And I will have to adjust my schedule for the WSOP,” he explained.
“I have to play the right tournaments. I have to play more NLH, where I can go hours without hitting hands, where I can reach a final table and move from eighth to third without hitting cards. There are so many things you can do when you have the reading ability and knowledge that I have,” Hellmuth confidently assured.
After years of a semi-retired Phil Hellmuth who spent his time traveling the world and meeting friends, we will finally see a new version of the professional Hellmuth who conquered the poker world for decades. Will he achieve his goal of 24 bracelets?
