In one week, the Argentine Poker Circuit will once again experience one of those stops that players love so much. It’s a new CAP Royale, a special date on the country’s most federal tour, which will be played at Arena Maipú.
Hundreds of poker lovers will travel there, ready to fight for the thousands of dollars that will be distributed throughout the already confirmed schedule, but also eager to fully experience Mendoza, starting with the location where the festival will be held.
“Arena Maipú is an integral entertainment and hospitality complex designed under the all in one concept: a single place where you find everything you need to experience Mendoza at the highest level. Gastronomy, Casino, premium hotel, spa, international shows, and premium experiences, all connected in the same space,” explains Ricardo Oller
“Today, in addition, Arena Maipú takes a historic step for the province with the arrival of the CAP Royale, one of the most important dates of the Argentine Poker Circuit, which turns Mendoza into a new strategic stop for live poker in South America,” Oller adds.

Arena Maipú Is Already Ready To Host The Cap Royale.
-Let’s get to know Arena Maipú better. What is the history of the place?
-Arena Maipú is born in a strategic location: kilometer zero of Mendoza’s wine routes. Minutes from the country’s most recognized and awarded wineries and just 15 minutes from the City of Mendoza, the complex perfectly connects with high-end tourism and the concept of Mendoza’s good living.
From its beginnings, the idea was to create a proposal that would be on par with great international destinations. A place where visitors can arrive and find absolutely everything in one space, with standards comparable to great resorts and entertainment centers around the world.
-Some have defined it as “Argentina’s Las Vegas.” Do you feel that way?
-There’s something to that. Arena Maipú is conceived as a destination in itself. You arrive and you have everything: premium accommodation at the Esplendor by Wyndham hotel, a complete gastronomic offer, spa, entertainment, casino, exclusive VIP areas, and Arena Stadium, one of the most important spaces in the country for shows and large events. First-class national and international artists have passed through here, and today we continue to consolidate ourselves as one of Argentina’s great entertainment centers.
Now, with the arrival of the CAP Royale, the casino enters a new dimension. Live poker is growing tremendously worldwide, and Mendoza has all the conditions to become a key venue for this circuit.
-What does it mean for the complex and for Mendoza to host the CAP Royale?
-It’s an enormous source of pride. We are bringing one of the most important dates of the Argentine Poker Circuit to one of Latin America’s most popular tourist destinations.
We are already receiving inquiries from players and visitors from Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, and more. Mendoza has something unique: it combines wine, gastronomy, mountains, hotels, and entertainment in one destination. And the CAP Royale appears as the perfect excuse to experience all of that.
Furthermore, this positions the province on the international live poker map.
The CAP Royale schedule

-What are your expectations for this special date?
-The expectation is enormous. We want Mendoza to become a fixed and strategic venue within the CAP. Between June 11 and 16, we will experience intense days, with great players, significant prizes, and an experience designed to be on par with the best tournaments. Our goal is not only to host a great tournament but to offer an integral experience that combines competition, entertainment, and premium tourism.
-What will players find? What distinguishes this experience?
-Players will find an infrastructure prepared for first-class events: comfortable rooms, technology, specialized attention, and a professional team 100% focused on the player’s experience. But there is also something that differentiates us greatly: few cities in the world allow you to leave a poker tournament and in less than 20 minutes be at a world-renowned winery, enjoying excellent gastronomy or unique experiences in the mountains. That transforms the tournament into much more than a competition.
-Will this be the first of many stops?
-Yes, definitely. We feel that this is the first of many editions to come. Mendoza brings together all the conditions to become a strategic stop within the live poker circuit: connectivity, international tourism, infrastructure, and an integral entertainment proposal that very few places can offer today.
-Can you hint at any surprises?
-We are preparing many special experiences for players and visitors. The idea is that those who come to the CAP Royale not only participate in a great tournament but also experience Mendoza from within. There will be exclusive proposals, activations, VIP experiences, and several surprises that we will be announcing in the coming days.
