The Spanish Poker Championship is ready to make history.
There are 15 days left until the start of the main stage of the Spanish Poker Championship, the CEP Barcelona. This date will be played from August 3 to 17, characterized by being the most attended of the entire season. Below, we tell you everything you need to know about this exciting festival, which will bring together the best players of Spanish and world poker.
The main stage
The CEP Barcelona is recognized as the main stage of this Spanish circuit. This is due to a great variety of factors. First, Casino Barcelona is a luxury venue for this type of event. Its large hall is prepared to receive hundreds of players who come every year to compete in this prestigious tournament.
On the other hand, we have the climatic factor. The CEP Barcelona arrives right in the European summer, so players can enjoy the beauty of one of the most impressive cities in Europe while playing on the most important poker stage in the region. And all this facing the Mediterranean Sea.

Its proximity to other major events, such as the EPT Barcelona, makes this tournament a perfect stop for those looking for action while waiting for the European Poker Tour.
To all this must be added the thousands of euros in prizes that are distributed edition after edition. Classic events such as the Main Event, the High Roller, and the Mini CEP are enough reasons to attract any tournament competitor. And, due to its twentieth anniversary, the Spanish Poker Championship is preparing something special for this edition.
The classic Opening event will have a buy-in of €330 and will be played from August 4 to 8. Then the Mini CEP will be held, with a value of €250 and running from August 8 to 10. From August 9 to 10, the Super Mystery Bounty will also be played, with a buy-in of €660. Finally, the turn of the Main Event will come between August 10 and 17. The entry to the Main Event will have a value of €500, as in the rest of the stages. The closing of the date will come with the High Roller tournament, which will take place from August 15 to 17.
How the ranking stands and what the prizes are
Throughout the season, players have the opportunity to accumulate points based on their performances in the tournaments. These points add up for the classification of the general ranking of the Spanish Poker Championship 2026. There are two different rankings: one for the Main Event and another for the Mini CEP. This way, lower-level players also have the chance to compete for the juicy prizes at stake.
The Spanish Poker Championship distributes more than €50,000 in prizes to the best players in the annual ranking. The Main Event Ranking winner will receive 2 PokerStars Gold Passes + €5,000 + a commemorative watch valued at €2,000.

What’s next in the CEP season
Although the CEP Barcelona is the most anticipated and attended stage of the season, there will still be much Spanish Poker Championship once this date ends. Before this stop, another CEP Barcelona was already played in March. The CEP Murcia and Madrid were also held in April and May. After two months without activity, the action will return in August for this new edition of the CEP Barcelona.

Once the CEP Barcelona is over, there will be a one-month wait for the next stage. The CEP Málaga will be held from September 22 to 27. Then, to close the season, there will be the CEP Perelada, which will take place from November 25 to 29.
In Perelada, the winners of both rankings will be decided, as it will be the festival that puts the finishing touch on what has been a spectacular season.
Don’t miss it. In just a few weeks, you will be able to enjoy one of the most prestigious poker festivals in Europe, at one of its most attended and historic stops. Don’t miss out!
