The Venezuelan professional took the WSOP Circuit Main Event, thus adding his third ring of the series. As a prize, he pocketed US$181.740 after prevailing in a field of 661 entries that raised the total prize pool to US$1.001.415, more than double the initial US$500.000 guarantee.
The tournament, with a US$1.700 buy-in and No-Limit Hold’em format, was the highlight of a 12-day series in which 18 rings were distributed, all accompanied by a package to compete in the WSOP Circuit Championship at WSOP Paradise 2026, in the Bahamas. But the most desired trophy was this one. And Yepez didn’t let go.

His dominance was total. After capturing the chip lead during Day 2, the Venezuelan never looked back. He managed his lead with authority, set the pace of the final table, and finished the job against Patrick Truong
The final hand had drama, like any great final worth its salt. Yepez completed from the button and Truong, already short on chips, responded with a preflop all-in. The champion called with a pair of eights and seemed to have everything under control. Although Truong hit a straight on the river, Yepez had already hit quads on the turn, a monster hand that nullified any hope of a comeback.
“Success comes from God,” Yepez declared after the victory. “I trust in God. I trust the process. You have to keep improving and accept the variance.”
