The new festival will be the first official presence of the World Series of Poker at Hard Rock Punta Cana and will be part of the international expansion of the WSOP Super Circuit, a brand that brings WSOP Circuit competition to various destinations around the world.

The Super Circuit festivals feature major Main Events and the traditional WSOP Circuit champion rings, as well as a tournament schedule that has not yet been announced for the Dominican event.

In Punta Cana, the main tournament will have a $3,500 buy-in and a $2 million guarantee, making it from its announcement one of the major poker events planned for Latin America in 2027. The full festival schedule will be announced shortly.

Punta Cana, a familiar name in poker

The choice of destination is also no coincidence for players in the region. For years, Punta Cana was one of the favorite stops for many players who traveled to the Caribbean to compete in festivals such as the Punta Cana Poker Classic, among other events that made the destination a classic on the Latin American circuit.

After that period, major poker stopped having a regular presence in Punta Cana. Now, the return will be with a brand of enormous international weight and at one of the most recognized resorts in the area.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana also offers a particularly attractive setting for a festival of this nature, with the resort as a meeting point for players coming from Latin America, the Caribbean, the United States, and other markets.

A new bet on Latin America

The announcement of Punta Cana is part of an expansion of the WSOP Super Circuit that also includes a new stop in Europe. The WSOP Super Circuit KINGS will be held at King’s Casino, in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, from October 28 to November 11, 2026, with a Main Event of €3,000 and €2,000,000 guaranteed.

The Punta Cana series will arrive a few months later and will mark a new step for the WSOP to expand its international presence and offer players in the region top-level competition without the need to travel to Las Vegas or Europe.

For Punta Cana, meanwhile, it will mean reclaiming a place that for a long time was special for Latin American poker. This time, the return will be with the WSOP seal, a million-dollar Main Event, and a Super Circuit that promises to bring the Caribbean back to the center of the scene.
