In a circuit where talent is abundant and mistakes are paid for dearly, Ang starred in one of those stories we love so much. Three players remained in the race in the most expensive tournament of his life, with 490 entries and a table that seemed taken from a video game on infernal difficulty. On the other side were no ordinary rivals: there were Kenney and Haxton, two of the best players to ever shuffle chips.
And yet, Ang won.
First he eliminated Kenney and then finished the job in heads-up against Haxton to take the trophy and a prize of US$932.000. In the deal made at the end of the tournament, Haxton secured the largest financial reward with US$940.000, while Kenney pocketed US$891.000. But the title, the moment, the photo, and the glory went to Ang, who achieved something neither of his two illustrious opponents could: lifting a Triton ONE trophy.

An Expert Level Final Table.
The most incredible thing is that his path to the crown was not exactly comfortable. Ang reached the final table as the short stack among the nine finalists, forced to row against the current in a scenario full of sharks. But he survived, resisted, and then attacked exactly when he had to.
