Day after day, we continue to meet the new champions of the PokerGO Cup, one of the traditional festivals played at the PokerGO Studio, located at the Aria Casino & Resort in Las Vegas.
On this occasion, Event #3: US$5.100 NLH took place. It featured a total of 86 entries, which formed a prize pool of US$430.000. For the second consecutive time, player John Riordan was eliminated on the money bubble.
Once the bubble burst, Mtthew Wantman , Neil Warren , Jeremy Becker , Cherish Andrews , Joao Simao and Justin Zaki were eliminated in the money, but without being able to reach the final table.
Joao Simao Achieved The Only Latin Cash Of The Event
The first eliminated among the finalists was Eric Blair . He was followed by Jeremy Ausmus in 6° place, before Chino Rheem saw the exit door for 5° place. Timothy Capretta would fall eliminated after a clash with Justin Saliba , who had arrived as chip leader for the final and was showing increasing confidence heading towards the title.
Saliba extended his good run by eliminating Sam Laskowitz in 3° place, which allowed him to reach heads-up against James Carroll with a not-so-large disadvantage. Little by little, Saliba began to climb until finally surpassing his opponent’s stack. In the final hand, Carroll went all-in with K5 against Saliba’s Q5. Incredibly, a queen appeared on the board to leave Carroll in second place. In this way, Justin Saliba was crowned champion of Event #3 of the PokerGO Cup, for a prize of US$96.400.
