
Nacho Barbero continues seeking qualification for Day 1 in the QQPK Genesis

Nacho was uploading a series of videos to Instagram, answering questions from his followers. In one of the latest episodes, he was specifically asked about “advice for a pro who lost their entire bankroll and how to start over and manage”.
Nacho’s answer included an example from his own personal experience.
“I’m not going to tell you it hasn’t happened to me. It happened to me three times in my career. I think it happened until I was about 26 years old. I probably started when I was 22. What helped me, before there was not as much study material as there is now, so basically we were always talking or studying with friends, or discussing hands and all that. And basically, well, you would ask some friend for money, they would lend it to you…

I think the easiest thing is to try to ask a family member, someone, and start playing from the bottom, studying and starting to grind little by little. Know what ROI we have in each tournament we play and try to play in things where we have good ROI. If we start playing just to recover, it’s a disaster. You have to put on the overall and work hard.”

Even the best have lost it all. The important thing is to use the experience to improve, start over from the bottom, being aware of mistakes, and climb the levels little by little. It is never good to skip stages and it is important to have good management, both financial and emotional.
