Daniel Negreanu

Canada
is one of the most successful poker players in history. Despite his charismatic personality and his willingness to interact with others, he has known how to be a true executioner at the tables, eliminating many of the world’s best on more than one occasion. However, due to his age and the lack of need to continue competing, Daniel has been living a quiet life for some time now, focusing on certain specific series throughout the season. The rest of his time, as we will see below, is spent enjoying with friends, family, and fulfilling one of his passions: playing golf.

This week, Daniel released his first YouTube video playing golf. But, like any gambler, it couldn’t just be about golf and nothing else. To add a little spice to the matter, the Canadian star decided to bet US$5,000 against Eric Wasserson

United States
that he could score 79 or less, playing from the Red Tees, that is, the most forward starting point on a golf course. A task that should be simple for a player like Daniel, who boasts a handicap of 11.

In the video, edited to look like an almost professional golf game, we can see Negreanu make his way across the course, which in total represents about 400 meters. His first shot was not good at all, but Daniel managed to keep going.

Little by little, Daniel advanced through the course, until, finally, he managed to complete all the shots, obtaining a total of 74 points, which made him the winner of the bet.

«The good news is that we just won US$5,000. Thanks Eric Wasserson for the free money,» Daniel closed his video, with a visible smile of satisfaction on his face.
