In one of his latest social media posts, Ben invited the poker community to participate in a crazy bet.
“Discussing an interesting prop bet that came up today. For the next 365 days, I can only drink water from a camelbak (backpacks with hoses to carry and drink liquid without removing them). How much do you bet?”
The post received responses from several professionals, who took the proposal quite seriously.
Joshua Arieh made an offer difficult to beat. “My price is US$19K, yours US$1.9M”. That is, Arieh would be willing to pay almost two million to Ben Lamb for completing the bet and would receive only US$19K if he failed to complete it. Something quite illogical, which surprised Lamb himself, who replied: “You want the US$19K? That’s a bet!”
Another who joined the discussion was Shaun Deeb , who offered: “Probably 500k because I think you’ll flip a high percentage.”
