Few rooms can boast almost four centuries of history and even fewer of hosting a poker tournament with €1 million guaranteed. That combination will be the highlight in October, when La Notte Degli Assi returns to Italy with a new edition at the legendary Casino di Venezia.
The festival will take place from October 11 to 19, 2026 and will feature a Main Event with €1,000,000 GTD as the main attraction, along with a High Roller and various tournaments and satellites.
The oldest casino in the world
The venue deserves a separate chapter. Founded in 1638, Casino di Venezia is recognized as the oldest casino in the world. Since the 1950s it has operated in the Ca’ Vendramin Calergi, a 15th-century Renaissance palace located opposite the Grand Canal and also known for having been the last residence of the composer Richard Wagner
Poker is also no stranger to its historic halls. Between 2009 and 2013 it hosted the WPT Venice, whose last edition ended with a victory by the Italian Rocco Palumbo

For this new event, the Main Event will offer multiple starting flights. The first days will have entries of €400, while from October 15 the buy-in will increase to €600. In all cases, players will start with 200,000 chips, with 30-minute levels, except for the Last Chance flight, which will have a faster 20-minute structure.
Qualifiers will advance to Day 2 on Sunday the 18th, while the champion will be known on Monday, October 19, with levels extended to 45 minutes.
The schedule also includes a €1,500 High Roller, which will start on Wednesday the 14th, as well as more affordable alternatives. Among them are a freeroll that will award 12 guaranteed entries and a €60 Mega Satellite with 25 tickets GTD.
