The Mendoza High Roller Championship was a success. The tournament that held its first edition this weekend exploded at the Casino Cóndor of the Hilton Mendoza and ended with the crowning of Sergio Collado
“El Monito” lifted the trophy after a final day that lasted 14 and a half hours –as registration and rebuys remained open for several levels– and in the end took home a prize of US$51.000 after a 3-handed deal.

Leiva and Silvestre flank Collado with the trophy. All three took home huge prizes.
Thanks to the 51 entries of US$3.000 and the 96 re-entries of US$2.000, the Mendoza High Roller Championship formed a prize pool of US$345.000 –more than the US$300K estimated– and thus had an original prize of US$80.150 for the champion, although finally an agreement modified those sums.
When three players remained after the departure of Blas Suárez

| Carlos Leiva | 7.700.000 |
| Federico Silvestre | 4.210.000 |
| Sergio Collado | 3.600.000 |
Although in a few hands, everything changed and Collado ended up being crowned champion. In fact, in the final hand, “el Monito” knocked them both out together in a triple all-in:

The board was A 4 3 8 K and that’s how the matter was settled.
