The Spanish Poker Championship is ready to make history.
After a long wait, the 20th season of the Spanish Poker Championship, organized by PokerStars, begins today with CEP Barcelona. The festival will feature major events to celebrate its two decades of existence from today until March 15.
As expected, Casino Barcelona has once again been chosen as the stage for the kick-off of this new season. Players from both the local and international scenes are expected to attend this impressive facility to seek one of the highly coveted trophies the circuit has to offer.
The tournament schedule will be packed with major events, such as the €330 Opening to be played from March 5 to 8, or even the prestigious €1,000 buy-in High Roller event, which will take place between the 9th and 11th.
This is what the CEP Barcelona Main Event will be like
The highlight will be the Main Event, which will take place from March 10 to 15. This main event will feature a €500 buy-in. Day 1A will be played on the 10th, and in total, there will be five starting flights, which will be played one by one until Saturday, March 14, when Day 1E Turbo will be played in the morning and Day 2 in the afternoon. Finally, the action will conclude on Sunday, March 15, with the closing of the festival and the final table of the Main Event.

The CEP arrives in 2026 after closing 2025 with historic attendance figures
During the 2025 season, the Spanish Poker Championship recorded a total of 5,439 entries in the Main Events and more than 2,000 in the Mini CEP, another of the classic tournaments that usually delight players at this festival. In the last edition of CEP Barcelona, 2,182 entries were recorded in the Main Event, which ended in the hands of Matías Arroyo
In addition to the large turnout that usually accompanies CEP Barcelona, this edition will feature €50,000 in added prizes by the organization, to ensure that the action is top-notch and the prizes are truly significant.
