“If you can’t get ahead of this, you will never be able to trust your instincts and do what you know you should do, because at that moment the emotions inside you are making your priority to avoid criticism from the outside world,” Su states.

The answer to stop going through this is not to convince yourself that you don’t care about others’ opinions, because that would simply be lying to yourself.
“First, you must admit that you do care what people think and that you want them to think you are good at playing poker. Then see what happens. When you reach that level of honesty within yourself, a new emotion appears, and you realize that the world does not end because of criticism. At that moment, you are in the right state to make the play you believe is correct,” Stu states.
