World poker repeats a name at the top of the circuit’s most prestigious ranking: Alex Foxen
With this ranking update, Foxen reaches 74 cumulative weeks as number one of the GPI, a historic mark that positions him as the player who has led the list for the longest time. The second place in that record belongs to Jason Mercier
For Foxen, the return has a special flavor: he hadn’t held the top spot since May 2023, making this new ascent a confirmation of his relevance in the most demanding tournaments on the planet.
The North American has been a constant presence for years in the toughest fields of the high roller circuit, where margins are minimal and the competition is full of stars. However, his consistency has transformed him into a results machine, capable of staying in the elite season after season.

Foxen is on fire
The moment Foxen is experiencing is also reflected in another recent milestone of his career. Just a month ago, he managed to enter the Top 10 of the All Time Money List for the first time, the ranking that brings together the players with the most live tournament earnings in poker history.
And 2026 is just beginning. So far this year, Foxen already has two titles on the PokerGO Tour, in addition to four cashes that have brought him more than US$455.000, results that propelled his return to the top of the GPI.
