Ander Vallinas

For almost the last two days of competition, Vallinas was the owner of the tournament. With a solid, aggressive game and always under control, he built an overwhelming lead that made him the clear favorite for the title. It was no wonder: he was facing a Triton debutant like Zhao, but the Spaniard seemed to have the perfect script to close an unforgettable performance.
The event, which gathered a record 1.230 entries, once again confirmed the brutal growth of the Triton ONE format. And in the middle of that ocean of players, Vallinas sailed like a true captain. His presence at the final table was no coincidence: with this result, he now has six Triton final tables, all in Jeju, a fact that makes it clear that this setting suits him especially well.

Zhao Wenjie Secured The Trophy And First Place.
In the final heads-up, both players reached an agreement for the two highest prizes and the trophy, although with a significant detail: the Chinese player wanted the trophy and the Spaniard the highest sum, the tournament director made it clear that if he perceived any sign of chip dumping, the deal would be canceled. In other words, no giving away chips or turning the heads-up into cheap theater.
And that’s where the duel changed. Zhao found rhythm, confidence, and cards at the right moments, while Vallinas began to lose ground until he was left with just seven blinds. His last bullet was with A-9, but Zhao showed 7-4 and hit a devastating flop that sealed the outcome.
