Eventually, it was Diego Nicolás who finished in 3rd place. The Argentine was eliminated after pushing A K against Bukhtiiarov’s pair of J J. Despite hitting the A on the flop, the J also came out, granting the Russian the set. In this way, «Tibu» left the table with a payout of US$72.305.
Marathon Heads-Up
The heads-up between Carlos Serrano and Oleg Bukhtiiarov was a separate chapter in this outcome. The difference was not that large: 9.200.000 for the Colombian; 8.200.000 for the Russian.
