Dylan Linde publicly denounced David Peters for unpaid debts

For years, David Peters

United States
was one of the most respected players on the international poker circuit. On his Hendon Mob profile, he has accumulated cashes totaling US$49,651,368, an exorbitant figure that places him 14th on the All Time Money List. However, despite so many winnings and such prestige, his image suffered a severe blow after the complaint made by Dylan Linde

(cover photo) via social media, in which he accuses Peters of not paying a debt that has been outstanding for several months.

On his X account, Linde, another of the industry’s most beloved and respected players, issued a statement recounting how his relationship with Peters broke down due to an unpaid debt.

I deeply regret doing business with David Peters. Last summer David bought a piece of the 50K PLO WSOP that I won. I paid him a large sum, in cash, a few days later. A few months later, at the Triton in Jeju, David bought a piece of my two Main Events (NLH and PLO). He asked me if I was okay with settling up after the Triton, as he was short on liquidity at the event. Of course, I had no problem. Ultimately, he ended up with US$50K in losses. We agreed to meet to close accounts at the Pokermasters, but he didn’t show up,” he reported.

“The next time I spoke to him he told me we would do numbers at the NAPT. He didn’t show up. I asked him to fix it before Bahamas. He asked me for information to make a transfer, but I never received funds. I started to get a little worried. When I asked him what was going on he told me that ‘he was trying to generate liquidity and that he would keep me updated’. I had no further updates except when I asked and received the same answer. This repeated until I told him to pay me by the end of February or I would report him. Then he sent me $12K and told me he would send the rest later,” he added.

“The end of February arrived and I was going to give him one more month. April 1st arrived and he sent me $15k saying he wouldn’t be able to pay the rest. Since this started, I’ve been finding out about other debts and bad deals he’s had, which is why I’m forced to do this,” he concluded.

This complaint generated a great deal of reaction among players, as these are two extremely well-known and respected figures in the community. So far, David Peters has not commented on the matter. Are we witnessing the collapse of one of the most prestigious figures in the high stakes scene?
