In poker there are hot streaks… and then there is Nick Rigby
The popular Pittsburgh player, famous for turning the 2-3 off hand into a symbol of poker rebellion during the WSOP 2021 Main Event, continues to write one of the most freaky and entertaining stories on the circuit. This time it happened at the RunGood Poker Series stop in Florida.
First he conquered the US$400 PokerNews PowerStack, a tournament that gathered 96 entries and generated a prize pool of US$50,000. Rigby defeated Nancy Birnbaum
And yes… he won that too.
The second victory gave him another US$3,512 and a new RGPS ring. With that, Rigby reached the impressive figure of 10 series rings and 11 major titles if you add the WSOP Circuit online won in 2024.

Rigby pointed out in an interview that 3-2 “is a joke hand, in the pure style of the infamous 7-2 off,” and for that reason, laughing, clarified that he sees and represents it as if they were aces.
The birth of “Dirty Diaper”
The most curious thing is that the “Dirty Diaper” phenomenon was born almost as a meme of modern poker. During the WSOP 2021 he constantly appeared on television broadcasts playing impossible hands with 2-3 offsuit, a combination known as “Dirty Diaper” for being considered one of the worst hands in Hold’em. Rigby made it a trademark, merchandising included.
But behind the character there are real results. In 2026 he already exceeds US$200,000 in live cashes and even played the prestigious US$25,000 National Heads-Up Poker Championship at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.
Now, as the World Series of Poker approaches, many are beginning to wonder if Rigby could become the most dangerous sleeper of the next US$25K Fantasy Draft. Because in poker there are solid players, mathematical geniuses, and online crushers. And then there is Nick Rigby… winning two tournaments before lunch and that counts for the WSOP fantasy competition.
