The heads-up was precisely against Peuvrie, in a duel between friends that added an extra emotional element to the finish. “I go to his house to eat an asado and play poker. It’s difficult to play like that against a friend. But at the table there is no other option, because we need to accumulate chips. At the end, the most important thing is that, whether for him or for me, it stayed between the two of us. I am very happy, very content,” said Gaspy.
“The most important thing is family”
After the victory, Fernández spoke with MundoPoker and made it clear that the title has a special meaning. In an emotional speech, he dedicated the win to his inner circle:
“I can dedicate this title to my family, my wife and my children. For my children, this is the most important thing,” expressed the Argentine after taking the trophy.
Additionally, he highlighted the complexity of the path to the title, recognizing that he grew as the levels progressed and took advantage of key moments to build his stack.
