There are players who go through good tournaments. And then there is Brock Wilson
The tournament, held in Las Vegas, drew 93 entries and generated a prize pool of US$465.000. From that total, Wilson took home US$120.900 after coming back in a heads-up match that seemed to belong to someone else. Because if anyone gave the impression of having everything under control, it was Jeremy Ausmus
But when a player is in a state of grace, not even a clear disadvantage seems enough to stop them. Wilson arrived short-stacked at the heads-up, although he found his first big momentum in a real roller-coaster hand: both flopped a pair, Ausmus improved to two pair on the turn, but Wilson found a higher two pair on the river to survive. From there, the match changed completely.

Jeremy Ausmus finished as Runner-Up.
Later came another decisive hand, when Wilson made a huge hero call with fourth pair. A brave decision, the kind that separates champions from the rest. And he explained it himself plainly: he is trusting his instinct, that fine reading that usually appears when everything seems to align in your favor.

The conclusion was a decisive final blow. Ausmus hit top pair, but Wilson had trips and ended the story with an all-in bet on the river that his opponent called. End of the suspense. Another trophy for the man of the moment.
As if that weren’t enough, Wilson had special support just a few meters away: his partner, fellow professional Cherish Andrews
