Nueve latinos sobrevivieron al Día 1B del Main Event de la WSOPE

The €5.300 Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe continues to grow at the pace of a major festival and, after an action-packed Day 1B, it also left news that excites this side of the map: nine Latino players managed to advance and keep alive the hope of making some noise in one of the most prestigious stops on the European calendar.

While Roberto Romanello

Reino Unido
took the spotlight by bagging the largest amount of chips of the day with 451.000, behind him was a Latino armada that built its own chapter in Prague. The best-placed was the Brazilian Leonardo Rizzo

, who closed with 295.000 points and put himself right among the stacks to watch. Also standing out was another well-known figure in South American poker, Felipe Ketzer
Brasil
, who bagged 262.500 and once again proved he can compete on equal terms in the toughest stages of the circuit.

Brazil, as so many times before, was the country that provided the most presence among the qualifiers. Joining Rizzo and Ketzer were Isabella Lemoscosta

Brasil
with 169.000, Alexandre Mantovani
Brasil
with 130.000, Danilo Carvalho Ramos
Brasil
with 100.500, Andre Cabrini
Brasil
with 91.500 and Matheus Grazziotin
Brasil
with 88.500. A true verdeamarela column that keeps the Latino flag flying high on Czech soil.

But they were not alone. José Boloqui

Argentina
, from Argentina, advanced with 101.000 chips, while the Peruvian Saba Peralta
Perú
also found his place in Day 2 with 78.500. They are not monstrous stacks, but in a long, deep tournament with still a long way to go, reaching the next stage is already a huge step.

The tournament has accumulated 1.456 entries so far between the first two starting flights, with a Day 1c still to be decided and late registration open until the first levels of Day 2. There is a lot of poker left, of course. But Latin America has already done the most important thing: showing up in Prague and making its presence felt.
