During the weekend, some of the last tournaments of the Triton Series Of Poker were played, which continues to be held in the city of Jeju . One of these events was the NLH 10° Anniversary Special, which was held in commemoration of the ten years since the founding of this series. And, fittingly, it was one of its co-founders, Paul Phua , who managed to take the champion title.
The tournament, which had a buy-in of US$150.000, recorded a total of 81 entries, which formed a prize pool of US$12.150.000 that was distributed among the top 13° positions of the event. Among the prize-winning positions were big names from the international circuit, as Isaac Haxton (13°), Wang Ye (12°), Jason Koon (us) (11°) and Kayhan Mokri (10°).
The final table also featured the presence of great players. The first to say goodbye was Artur Martirosian , who later made up for it by winning another tournament in the series. Also falling were Klemens Roiter (8°), Aleks Ponakovs (7°), Mikita Badziakouski (6°), Danny Tang (5°) and Johannes Straver (4°).
The 3-handed play was decided between Elton Tsang , Brandon Wilson and Paul Phua . Despite this extensive list of huge players, none could prevail against the greatness of Phua, who was crowned champion in one of the most special events for him.
