The figure of Ren Lin has gained more notoriety in recent months, although not for the most desirable reasons. The award-winning player was at the center of controversy at the end of 2025 for providing real-time assistance to a player while they were competing in the final table of an online tournament on GGPoker. This resulted in his suspension, not only from GG but also from WSOP events. However, Lin did not stand idly by and continued to compete. This is how he has now won the Asian Poker Tour Super High Roller in Jeju.
The tournament, with a buy-in of US$10,400, had a total of 115 entries, which formed a prize pool of US$1,103,800, distributed among the top 17 places in the competition. The top prize ended up in the hands of Ren Lin, who prevailed against a competitive field to achieve his second title of the year.

Among the players who participated in the tournament were several heavyweights, such as the 5-time WSOP bracelet winner John Juanda , the Superstar Challenge winner Calvin Lee , and the top winner of the Asian Poker Tour, Joseph Cheong , among others.
After overcoming a tough final table, with players like Quang Do , Ren Lin reached the heads-up against Ryuta Nakai . The match only lasted four hands, as Ren Lin needed no more to establish himself as the winner. Thus, Ren Lin was crowned champion of the Asian Poker Tour Super High Roller in Jeju, and took home a prize of US$275,220.
