“The vast majority. Even of those I know, very few are the ones I really know who play alone. And if not, some partly alone and sell shares for the bigger tournaments. If you are playing the whole circuit, the buy-in is very expensive,” Dubini began.

Pamela took the opportunity to point out another reality of players, which is that often a first place simply serves to cover losses during downswing periods.
“Exactly… I always say that poker sells a lot of smoke,” Richard replied. “My friends sometimes see when I entered a tournament or took third place and cashed X, but they didn’t see the whole path where maybe I was losing for a year.”
“The fact of having passion for this and always enjoying it makes you reinvent yourself along the way all the time,” Dubini concluded.
