A dream debut. Ryan Hoenig was crowned champion of the Event #3: US$10,200 T.O.R.S.E. of the PGT Mixed Games by overcoming a field full of stars and took home a prize of US$232,400, the highest awarded in the series so far. Additionally, with this result, the mixed games specialist took the lead in the circuit’s rankings.
The victory, achieved in the PokerGO studios at the ARIA Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas , represents the second biggest achievement of his career, only behind the bracelet won in the US$10,000 Dealer’s Choice at the WSOP 2025. Hoenig has already accumulated US$1,773,000 in prizes on the world circuit.
The first tournament of this format in the series registered 83 entries, generating a prize pool of US$830,000, distributed among the top 12 players.
Philip Sternheimer.
Only 10 competitors advanced to the final day, with Dylan Weisman as chip leader, closely followed by Hoenig. After the eliminations of Ken Aldridge, Michael Wolff, and Chris Wallace, Hoenig secured his spot at the final table in second place again, once again behind Weisman.
However, the chip leader was eliminated in fifth place, followed by Koji Fujimoto and Qinghai Pan. The heads-up began with an advantage for another great mixed games specialist, Philip Sternheimer, who even had a three-to-one chip lead.
Hoenig reacted, took control after a long final duel, and never relinquished the lead. The tournament was decided in a hand of Limit 2-7 Triple Draw, when Sternheimer drew one card looking to improve his hand, but ended up forming a pair of sixes, insufficient against Hoenig’s hand. For second place, Sternheimer pocketed US$149,400.
