The adventure of the 888poker professional players team in the WSOP 2026 Main Event entered a territory of maximum tension. The fifth and penultimate chapter of their documentary, titled “The Bubble,” places the cameras exactly where it hurts the most: one step away from the money and with months — or years — of dreams depending on one elimination.
Of the entire room team, only Aaron Barone
Both passed the day and advanced to Day 4 when only seven eliminations separated them from the money. Barone bagged 524,000 points and Navarro 314,000, but there was still surviving the moment no one wants to face. WSOP
The cameras resumed action in the middle of the stone bubble, with only one elimination pending to guarantee the payouts. Finally, a classic coinflip ended the suffering: A-K could not beat a pair of fives and all survivors secured a prize.
Then another battle began.
Navarro, reduced to about 20 big blinds, ended up risking the tournament with 9-9 against K-Q of clubs. A queen appeared on the flop and the river also completed her opponent’s flush. The Spaniard was eliminated in 1,007th place for US$17,500.
Barone, on the other hand, kept advancing. He took advantage of his big stack around the bubble to pressure his rivals and finished Day 4 with 785,000 chips, keeping the 888poker flag alive.
“I don’t really have expectations for tomorrow. I hope to move up some spots, maybe reach Day 6,” Barone admitted.
Now there is one last chapter left. The final episode will premiere on September 11, with Barone still chasing the biggest dream: continuing to advance toward the final table and the US$10 million reserved for the world champion.
