
A new room joins the wave of poker rooms that have been closing in the city of Las Vegas. This time, it is the poker room located at Resorts World, which will be permanently closed starting March 30. The news comes shortly after the confirmation of the closure of Planet Hollywood just a few months ago.

“Resorts World Poker will be closing at the end of the month. It was great to have our games here. I will announce the new location when it is ready. In the meantime, we will continue at Resorts World until March 29,” the organizer wrote.

“Sad news, I hope these good people are hired at another establishment soon,” Savage wrote.
The truth is that the question about the viability of the poker room’s operation had been in question for several months. By the end of 2025, the issue was defining whether Resorts World would continue to have its poker room, but managed by a third party, or if it would close permanently. Finally, the day to make that decision arrived and the closure was decided.
A mixed games festival was scheduled to be played this month, but it had to be canceled after its host, Robbie Strazynski 
Live poker is experiencing a rather particular moment in the United States, with new tax laws putting on more and more pressure and the various limitations imposed in each state.
