Diego Ponce

The World Series Of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) has an important stop in the Canadian city of Montreal, located in the province of Quebec, at the Playground Casino facilities where the action has been running since last March 23 and is close to reaching its final point to conclude next Tuesday, April 7.
The Main Event plays its Day 1C this Saturday, the last available qualifying flight with 221 active players in the search to advance to Day 2 of the tournament. A total of 902 entries were registered, which resoundingly exceeded the guarantee amount to reach CA$4.042.870 (US$2.899.210) to be distributed among the top competitors. Excellent CA$338.964 (US$242.431) were reserved for the champion as a reward for their merit.

Diego Ponce is the only Mexican still seeking his pass to the next phase
With around 90,000 points equivalent to about 22 big blinds, Ponce is the only active Mexican in this Main Event still seeking his advancement. The task is not easy in a primarily local field full of talent where the main objective in the first instance is quite clear: to make a prominent final table with big prizes at stake and a title that cannot go unnoticed.

The action is scheduled to resume on its Day 2 this Sunday, April 5 at 11:00 AM (local time) and seek to reduce the field that will compete one step closer to the title. The Final Day will take place on Monday, April 6, also at 11:00 AM, while the action around this series approaches its end with attractive events still to come such as Event 13: $5.000 Mega Stack High Roller and Event 17: $1.000 NLH Progressive Bounty where our compatriots could still make an appearance at the tables.
