
The debate about the legitimacy of unlimited re-buys still rages to this day. Some consider that having more opportunities in a tournament simply by paying more entries goes against the competitive spirit of the game. But, when it comes to a good cause, there’s not much to complain about, and an American made sure to shoot more than 30 bullets in a charity tournament.
A player caught the media’s attention during the Charity Series Of Poker (CSOP) “Hearts in the Crease”, a charity tournament held in Las Vegas to raise funds for the Vegas Golden Chariots Special Hockey, the only hockey team for players with disabilities in all of Nevada.

This player, a regular on the benefit circuit, arrived at the tournament and from the moment he sat down, he didn’t stop going all-in on every hand. Most of the time he did it without even looking at his cards. Every time he lost, he would re-buy and rejoin the game. “It’s for the kids,” he repeated.
By the time of the first break, the player had already made 32 re-buys, each for US$100. He was declared the winner of the award for the most re-buys for the second time in the same month. Unfortunately, his journey didn’t get very far, as he ended up being eliminated well before reaching the cash prizes.
