
This weekend, one of Britain’s fastest-growing tournaments began. It is the Irish Poker Open, held at the Royal Dublin Society, where hundreds of players gathered to compete in Day 1A of the Main Event, from which the first qualifiers for Day 2 have already emerged.
The first flight of the main event recorded a total of 467 entries, marking a good start ahead of the four following flights, which will attempt to break the €2.500.000 guaranteed mark. After 15 levels of play, only 93 players remained standing, who are already qualified for Day 2.

Ian Simpson Will Seek to Repeat the Feat Achieved in 2013
Day 1B will be played on Wednesday, April 1st, and then one starting flight will be played per day until Saturday, April 4th, the day when all qualifiers will gather to compete in Day 2, on the final day of the tournament. Whoever manages to become champion will take home the coveted trophy and the largest share of the massive €2.500.000 guaranteed prize pool that this great event has to offer.
