Poker After Dark
A few days ago, Jeff Platt
It all began last week, more precisely on January 26, when Jeff issued a long statement, thanking all the PGT staff for the years shared and the opportunity to grow alongside them.
The message itself said nothing about his future. Rather, it left doubt as to whether we would continue to see Jeff Platt on any broadcasts. Fortunately, Jeff took less than an hour to release a new statement, talking about his new job.

“Today is my first day as an employee of the WSOP,” said the famous commentator. “I firmly believe in the vision of the best and biggest poker series in the world. It has been an honor to be part of the broadcast of the Main Event, the best poker tournament in the world. And I am excited to expand our partnership in a larger role, both as host and producer,” Platt elaborated.
“As a player, I feel I can strengthen the bridge connecting the WSOP with the public,” Jeff explained a bit. “I promise to genuinely listen to their opinions and concerns and to work continuously to improve the player experience,” Platt promised.
In an interview for PokerOrg, Jeff Platt elaborated a bit more on his new roles and said: “Basically, I’ll be in the role you’ve seen me in for years. Commenting, reporting, hosting, interviewing, and anything else you can think of to do on air.”
